Section: Overview:
hardware requirements

Run the AudioTX Multiplex Server software on a standard PC and any other PC on your network can tune in to your audio channels...

The AudioTX Multiplex system is technically simple to install and requires almost no additional hardware.

Step
1
The AudioTX Multiplex Server software installs on a PC to which you connect your audio sources. This PC requires one or more sound cards (depending on how many audio channels you want to broadcast). We offer multi-input soundcards of course for larger installations - up to 96 inputs!

Step
2
You can then install the AudioTX Multiplex Receiver on any PC on your network. The user simply selects the channel they want to listen to and it plays...

AudioTX Multiplex Receiver requirements

Runs on existing PCs on your network (these will normally be your standard office PCs - you do NOT need additional PCs)

The PC requires a standard connection to your network (it probably already has one)

A soundcard is required - each user can then use PC speakers or headphones to listen to the audio channels

The AudioTX Multiplex Receiver is a small and efficient application - it can be used as a small, stylish bar or as a taskbar application (a small icon near the clock).

Sound card Requirements

The AudioTX Multiplex Receiver will work with any standard sound card - so for simple office listening, a soundblaster or on-board sound card already in your PC will be fine. For more critical listening applications, there are many commercially available professional audio or studio sound cards available - we can advise on the choices and can indeed supply sound cards with your purchase of our software.

The AudioTX Multiplex Server will also work with any standard sound card. Obviously in most cases, you'll want to use a high quality professional card - we can advise and supply a range of these. We can also supply sound cards that can accept up to 96 inputs (that's mono, or 48 stereo channels). If you are planning a large scale installation like this, please do talk to us first as we're always happy to offer free advice!
